For the Photograph & Photographer of the year members are invited to submit a maximum of four images taken during 2023.
The membership then voted and the results were revealed at our awards evening.

Waiting for a train
A passenger waits for his train at London Bridge.
The Best Seats in the House
Second place was awarded to C J Rich who produced this image at Leeds with 185133 arriving with a Hull to Liverpool Lime Street service..
Estuary Train
Mark Lawrence also attained third place with this shot taken across the Leven estuary of a class 195 crossing the viaduct on a misty autumnal morning.
Mark Lawrence also garnered enough votes to be awarded Photographer of the Year.

No Trains Today
A freight line crossing the Bolivian salt flats – with a freight train only every 3 to 4 days. We weren’t going to hang around for one to appear but the sense of emptiness in this desolate part of the world made me want to record the scene.
