CREATIVE RAILWAY PHOTOGRAPHY

The Circle was formed in 1971 to encourage alternative photography of what was then the ‘modern’ scene. 

 

Half a century later the Circle’s aim remains the same: portraying the contemporary railway scene in an expanded pictorial or avant-garde style.

2021 represented a significant milestone in the history of the Phoenix Railway-Photographic Circle with the celebration of our 50th anniversary by publishing a book to showcase some of the members work, past and present, over the five decades of operation.
