Red Rose

Framed between the ornate railings protecting the subway stairs at Preston station, items are being transferred from a store on the former Rail Express Systems platform to retail outlets on the main Virgin West Coast platforms and station concourse. The 1970's-looking rail blue era class 37 from this viewpoint contrasts with the alien-like look of the employee and his streamlined futuristic-like trolley. The locomotive was in fact DRS 37602 on standby snow plough duty on Friday 18th Jan 2013.
