AC Electric Sunset Use of the veteran AC electrics 86101 'Sir William A Stanier FRS' and 87002 'Royal Sovereign' on the Network Rail 'Ice Maiden' duties will soon be at an end and it remains to be seen what will be used next year, as the future of these locos on the mainline in this country seems to be uncertain.
