Whernside Wanderer

This shot was taken during a 1Z10 photo shoot to cover the Class 805 diversions over the S&C whilst the west coast mainline was closed for a bridge replacement near Preston.
Myself , Nigel and Joe were waiting in the bitter cold to bag this shot and whilst the east and west coast were experiencing heavy snowfall there was relatively little on the Yorkshire Dales except on the highest ground.
This is 805009 departing Ribblehead beneath the snow capped Whernside. The 805 was working the 1Z88 0909 Crewe to Carlisle.
