37688 stands in Fort William yard, shortly to depart for Glenfinnan and Arisaig to drop ballast. The expedition was cut short when 37688 developed load regulator problems near Glenfinnan, forcing the wagons to be dumped in the siding at Glenfinnan and the loco returning LD to Fort William. The ballast drop continued over the following 2 days with replacement 37059 doing the business.
