Dynamic Duo
An added bonus of Fridays visit by two GWR Castles was the shadowing pair of class 20s designated rescue locos. 20142 and 20189 trundle along the River Teign passing Red Rock running approx 20 mins behind the Mayflower tour. The low sun provided a nice glint as the pair approached the Island.
For the record the service was 0Z24 1655 Plymouth to Bristol Temple Meads where they would then take over as lead locos for the final leg to Birmingham New Street.
