You wait for an age, and then three arrive at once . . . .

On 28th August 2021, Retro Railtours Ltd. ran the 'Retro Cumbrian Coaster II' from Chesterfield to Workington and return, utilising three locomotives from the Rail Operations Group (ROG) pool. In the slowly dwindling but still pleasant evening light, 37510/800 (appropriately wearing Euro Phoenix livery) and 57312 are seen descending from the summit at Copy Pit, Burnley, towards the village of Portsmouth on the Lancashire/West Yorkshire border.. Just a few minutes before the train came into view, the thunderous roar of the 37s could be heard on the still evening air as they forged up to the summit from the Burnley side.
