Washwood Heath HS2+

Now the Metro Cammell Works has been shut down, the commencement of works to create the HS2 hub at Washwood Heath is about to commence. The survey team was out yesterday looking at removing the siding into the sleeper depot too.
In the foreground is the A47, beyond the Birmingham sky line including the BT Tower, whilst in the mid ground is 66520, awaiting entry to Lawley Street Freightliner Terminal, along with a glimpse of an 08 shunter in the sleeper yard. Taken on the way to the Phoenix RPC AGM in Nottingham.
