The 'Bechyne Rainbow'
The first electrified railway in the Austro Hungarian Empire was that from Tabor to Bechyne which was opened in 1903 and which terminated at Bechyne on the opposite bank of the river Luznice from the main part of the town. A bridge was opened in 1928 carrying both rail and road traffic.
